Position Overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (Construction) to support the successful execution of transmission and distribution construction projects. This role partners with project leadership to coordinate field operations, monitor project performance, and help ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily coordination of construction activities and field operations.
- Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and client standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries.
- Maintain project documentation, RFIs, submittals, permits, and change orders.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to project leadership.
- Help manage quality control, contract administration, and project closeout activities.
- Build positive relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Perform additional project-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent construction experience.
- 3+ years of construction or project coordination experience, preferably in transmission and distribution or utility projects.
- Working knowledge of project scheduling, document control, and cost management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with project management software is a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively (up to 100%).
